This board is completely dead. However, I'm interested in Wesleyan because it has an excellent academic reputation and seems to be full of undiscovered opportunities If anyone is a current student or knows anything about this school, feel free to chime in. Lets get this thread buzzing.

I guess not. Any feedback, please?

We live in California and my son and I visited the campus. It is a pretty small school, but the campus is nice. Sort of in the middle of nowhere but a few hours from both NYC and Boston.

It was unseasonable cold at about 0 degrees and a -15 windchill in January, but I guess that even the locals said it was colder than normal for that time of year.

A lot of the students participate in Div III sports activities which I thought was cool.

As far as I can tell the academic reputation of Wesleyan is quite high. I have yet to come hear any oppinon to the contrary. Out here in California the name is not as pretegious as on the east coast from what I have been able to gather, even though California is the fifth most matriculated State at Wesleyan apparently.

You want to look at the very active Wesleyan University board. This one is an orphan. Go to: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/wesleyan-university/

Thanks. I was wondering why this board was so inactive.

Wesleyan College is the first women’s college located in Georgia; Wesleyan University is a fine liberal arts school located in Connecticut. I wanted info about wesleyan college not university.

Wesleyan College is by far one of the most high-profile woman school of the south with great ratings in academic reputation ( you can refer to some college guides like Barron or princeton review to know more about this in details). It’s also the first woman school in the state of Georgia. So generally it’s quite a good school academically. One of my friends did get in this year with scholarship and she will enroll for 90%.

I hope this would help !
