Overall, Is this Wharton ED a waste for me?

Not a waste. You have a good shot.

You have a good shot with ED.

Haha of course you will definitely pass the criterion of “excellence of mind”, but perhaps the most important part is how well you match with Penn. Make sure you work on your essays and ED will show strong desire to attend the university. Do it. Chance me back.

I have a B+ in physics, though, will that hurt me too mmuch

You have an outside shot at Wharton - very tough admit

@Klayy One b+ won’t hurt you too much. I know a lot of people who had one or two on their transcript but still got in, Its the essays and the fit that generally matters the most (considering you have the stats)

lol one b+ won’t kill you at all I had plenty of Bs and got into LSM.

-President of Students for Trump-New Jersey

-President of Students against Hillary"

I would recommend not highlighting these on your Common App when you apply in early November!!

I think everyone should stop making jabs at OP’s political orientation even if you disagree with it; it’s a chance me thread, no need to mock a high school student who’s already worried about college and hasn’t even displayed any sign of arrogance in his post. Overall, your app seems strong, but I would strongly advise you to reconsider putting down the “students against hillary” position on your activities just because it could rub off the wrong way to admissions officers (it could tangentially indicate an unwillingness to see all perspectives in their eyes). I’d say go for the ED round as there’s no harm in doing so. G’luck (:

*Exwire is correct and I have deleted/edited some of these posts. Making a comment like “…just because it could rub off the wrong way to admissions officers…” is valid, mocking his political leanings is not.

Your test scores and ECs are excellent! Volunteer work is becoming more and more important, so maybe get some more before you apply in November or January.

Go Trump!!! (Even though he won’t win :(( )

You should definitely apply. ED gives a big boost at Penn. You have better stats than an Indian male I know who got in ED last year. Good luck!

For non-hooked applicants, or applicants with anti-hooks, The acceptance rate for Wharton is almost the same. ED may give you a small boost, but definitely not a big one.

I think that this application outcome will hinge on how compelling of a case you can make for why you want to attend Wharton, and why the Penn community will be better with you being a part of it.

No waste at all
