Is who's who in high school a scam?

<p>I got a letter saying I was in it...do they send this letter to every HS student or is it legitimate? Also how so you apply for the scholarship money?</p>

<p>It's a scam-my Mom got sucked into it my soph. yr. They just want you to buy the book to see your name in it.</p>

<p>I don't think it's a scam in terms of not everyone gets it and I think they actually give out some very small scholarships. However, it's pretty meaningless to be in it and the amount it costs for the book is probably not worth the expected value of the likelihood of receiving any scholarship.</p>

<p>Well, you actually don't have to buy the book. :/ It's not a scam persay, but the scholarships are so measly that it might as well be.</p>
