Is World History too obscure to mean anything?

I've been planning for about a month to take WH in Oct. (I was motivated by the amazing curve..) Then I discover that it's only offered in December and June. What's the reasoning behind this? Is it not taken very often, and if so, is it too obscure to be useful in admissions? According to Wikipedia, it's "a test that is not taken frequently," which surprised me. Hypothetically, does an 800 on WH not mean that much on an app?

I've already taken Math 2 and Bio, and will take Lit in Oct., but because I'm home-schooled I thought it might be wise to take as many as I thought I could do well on.. but I don't want to sit for WH in Dec. if it won't mean anything.

Thanks a lot.

It doesn’t mean less than any of the other subject tests. It is not as popular because the vast majority of high school kids choose US History instead, because that is what they are mainly taught in school.
An 800 would be quite impressive, but difficult to achieve. This is a tough test to prepare for. Look at the threads on this here to get a sense of the type of questions – they are far from straight forward and the test covers a very large range of material.
