Is Yale really a top research university ?

Hahaha that's funny because the discussion about UPenn 3 pages ago was MY discussion with the Wharton pretender. And you're the one who came in to make the ridiculous assertion that Wharton is "undebateabley" the best business school.

MusicNut07,

I believe the primary purpose of this board is to provide useful information to potential students. Ignorant statements such as "Chicago is for the ugly emo students, MIT is for the psycho anti-social students" and "You guys are kidding right? UPenn Wharton is undebateabley the #1 business school in the US" propagate false information and deserve proper chastisement.

And while some may view the punishment excessively harsh, remember, these are highschool seniors and ivy league applicants capable of making sound judgement.

Haukim, you must be kidding right? I thought Yale undergrads had more knowledge and sense than to follow everything based off of rankings. In the REAL business world, UPenn Wharton is ranked #1. I have cousins who in investment banking who can testify to this.

I don't take the rankings wholeheartedly as it appears you do.

And if you want to stick strictly to rankings, your Yale university is a pitiful 15th on that list you just linked Haukim. Is that really what you want back after paying them 45,000$/year?

Sorry for the triple post, but you Haukim, you think you are the one who should chastise others? If you haven't noticed, you're on a damn online discussion board and you have no power whatsoever regardless of if your rank 1 at Harvard or at a community college. When it comes down, no one cares where the **** you went for college if your attitude reflects that of a prick.

If you want to actually chastise me, meet me personally and we can settle this. Of course, I can place my bets that you're a puny Asian kid like most other Asians from Plano.

Wow
I'm asian, and I'll kick any one of your asses.

That said, I think all of you need to calm down.
Let's be a little mature and not resort to stereotyping when someone disagrees with what you have to say. Everyone has their own opinion, and the chances of you changing it by telling them they have a small dick are relatively low (by the way, I'll sword fight anyone who wants to challenge me ;) ).

Let it be. Just because Wharton is ranked number one, doesn't mean that everyone else sucks. Who knows where we'll all end up in 20 years. I would bet that their are 40 year old ibankers who graduated from Yale that are making more money and are more successful than their counterparts who graduated from Wharton (and vice versa).

"Life is 10% what happens to you, and 90% how you react to it"
Meaningless chatter will get us nowhere. Prove your point through your actions.

You do realize that Haukim is an undergrad, not a student in the business school, and thus that its quality has absolutely no effect on him, don't you? Your attacks on the quality of a Yale education are really unnecessary.

I don't even have to post for these kids to humiliate themselves. Throw out the pretenses and bring out the ***** jokes!

The definition of an inferiority complex: I mention I'm a freshman at Yale ONCE about oh.. 40 posts ago (on a Yale board no less), and I'm flaunting my Yale education (or is my abstinence from ***** jokes and racial slurs somehow elitest?)

Predator,

I know you Coppell kids suffer from Plano envy :-). Don't worry, everyone else in the DFW metroplex does too (except maybe Richardson).

"If you want to actually chastise me, meet me personally and we can settle this. Of course, I can place my bets that you're a puny Asian kid like most other Asians from Plano."

Wow. Good luck with college admissions.

Okay this was just too hilarious not to comment on:

"Haukim, you must be kidding right? I thought Yale undergrads had more knowledge and sense than to follow everything based off of rankings. In the REAL business world, UPenn Wharton is ranked #1. I have cousins who in investment banking who can testify to this."

What is the definition of "undebateabley"? Granted I'm not too sure that's even a word, but maybe you know what undebateable means. You're right though, throw out US News and lets trust Predator's cousins' "REAL Business world rankings". Gee why aren't colleges competing to get on that list? And last time I checked, HBS was still the biggest name in business.

Hmm let's look at different numbers shall we? Starting salary:

"<a href="http://www.admissionsconsultants.com/mba/compensation.asp">http://www.admissionsconsultants.com/mba/compensation.asp</a>"</p>

Oh well guess we should toss that out too because your "i-banking cousins" disagree.

What a joke.

lol "undebateabley" you know, when you're trying to defend a school as the bastion of a certain academic field, it's usually wise to spell-check your statements before posting them. it helps with credibility and whatnot ;-).

also, do you really think you can belittle somebody by resorting to stereotypes like "puny little asian"? i second hakuim's sentiment: good luck with your college applications with that kind of attitude.

Ok, I apologize for saying "undebateably" and "puny little asian." However, I do not envy Plano. Half the kids at Coppell don't even know of Plano's affluent wealth as well as education programs. Coppell offers me everything I need and things that they don't, I have started up as clubs and have gotten funding from the high school.

Furthermore, the main reason Plano is so successful is that its so HUGE combined with lots of money devoted to academic purposes. Your graduating class at Plano East is twice as large as our class in Coppell. Oh, and you have TWO other high schools just like that.

Also, how did you know I was from Coppell?

Oh and heesun, the "e" was a typo for undebatebly. That was a weak thing to start your argument off with. I couldnt care less what my grammar and english is on an online forum.

Apology accepted. Run along now.

Please answer my questions though.

What question would that be? This?

"Also, how did you know I was from Coppell?"

Same way you knew I was from Plano.

WOWWW I can't tell that people are stressed about decisions coming out...............................................Notttt (Borat lol)

The Answer Is No It Is Not.
