<p>College of Santa Fe did Urinetown THIS year. I guess they must be the trendsetter!</p>
<p>Luckily my high school did it this year, so I won't feel quite so terrible next year at Syracuse when I don't get to be in it.</p>
<p>University of Oklahoma's MT department performed Urinetown October 2005.</p>
<p>CMU and Michigan both did URINETOWN this year, as did Elon (I believe). CMU's production was directed by John Caraffa, the choreographer of the Broadway production.</p>
<p>That University of Wisconsin-Madison is doing it, I think. I was in a room with three other friends home from college, and we're all doing it next season (Indiana, UArts, Madison, Yale)... Insanity...</p>
<p>They will be doing it at the JCC this summer here in Rochester and also at GEVA (our only Equity theatre) this season too. When it rains, it pours (or is that a REALLY bad joke?!).</p>

<p>Why is every single college doing this show?</p>
<p>I heard that Muhlenberg in Allentown PA is doing Urinetown in the fall.</p>
<p>I believe Shorter College in Georgia did it this past year...a friend of my d's was in it.</p>
<p>It was done at at least one high school, one community college, and one community theatre all within about 45 minutes of me, and all between February and now. </p>
<p>I think this Urinetown epidemic is in fact worse than that of Beauty and the Beast!</p>

<p>Just curious - we live in the area - wondering when in the year the production will be. Do you know if it's planned for fall, winter, or spring?

<p>It was a great show! They did a lot of choreography and the leads were so good not to mention the entire cast!</p>
<p>It will be done as a black box production in the spring of 2007.</p>
