Isaac!

Ugh, we’re under another tornado watch :/

TORNADOES

WIND GUSTS TO HURRICANE FORCE

AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE AREAS. REMEMBER

A TORNADO WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE FOR TORNADOES IN AND CLOSE TO THE WATCH AREA. PERSONS IN THESE AREAS SHOULD BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR THREATENING WEATHER CONDITIONS AND LISTEN FOR LATER STATEMENTS AND POSSIBLE WARNINGS.

This is until 9 AM. Why the heck is there still school tomorrow?

We’re under 7 warnings/watches/advisories -_-

The weather service called saying they were strong gusts…hail…blah blah blah. I didn’t care at the time since I was definitely more than half asleep. But I remember hearing things blowing and I remember hail hitting my window. My car has probably suffered from the hail but it needed detailing anyways…

The rest is a blur but my fat kept being obnoxious and trying to get me up with her. Nope, sorry, Kitty. It ain’t happening.

They did the smart thing and cancelled school at 1 AM

School is cancelled for tomorrow too due to severe flooding

“Officials say weather conditions continued to deteriorate throughout the day, and there is major flooding in many areas, particularly in the western parts of the county. Flooding, described as “unprecedented” by weather experts, is preventing access to numerous streets, roads, bus stops and schools.”

I meant cat…not fat…

Today, school was miserable. The sun was nowhere near out and legit it looke like nighttime. Barely any sun. Had to drive with the lights on. In class, I got to enjoy the smell of cheesy toes and wet dog.

That’s how it’s been here since Saturday. I’m really glad they cancelled school for today because I wouldn’t want to drive in that.

In one of my friends neighborhood, there are some houses literally under water.

Are you seriou?? God forbid that happen to anyone. Natural disasters are one of my fears.

Yep. It’s bad.

I hate natural disasters too. I have recurring nightmares about being in tornadoes. In each one, no one believes me that it’s coming until it hits. I really wish we had basements in FL. I could never live somewhere where there are sudden natural disasters (the midwest-tornadoes, California-earthquakes). At least with this we knew it was coming.

Well you can make a basement…tht is until its overcome by our aquifers lol

My dream house would be storm safe. Complete with basements, security glass for all windows, foundation high enough againsts floods and deep enough for protection again earthquakes/mudslide. Any paranoid precaution it would have lol

Yep, that’d be my dream house too. Lol. I’m so dang paranoid about this. I think it’s because the only defense we have against it are the preparations/safety precautions we make/take.

My dad is currently outside sitting in a chair with metal in it watching the storm.
