ISE vs CSE

I am an incoming freshman and trying to decide between Integrated Systems Engineering and Computer Science and Engineering. Anyone have any experience with either program? I am interested in data analytics or something similar, but this aspiration may change as I go through college. Any insight into the pros and cons of each program would be much appreciated!

Well, rather than focusing on the programs at Ohio State, you may want to ask which field you are interested in. There is a small overlap between the fields, in terms of data analytics. Most of the curriculum is going to be quite different. CSE involves programming in most of the classes and in terms of the career after college. ISE curriculum is more mathematical, and graduates work in many different industries, probably ranging from manufacturing to software.

Another thing you can look at. OSU has a Data Analytics program. It is a joint degree between the College of engineering and the Fisher School of Business.
