go ISEF! It's an amazing experience. I'll be around somewhere. =P

This may seem like an unfortunate question... But what are Buckminsterfullerenes? Your project does sound very interesting...

We could have this, like, CC party at ISEF as well!

(lol, we are already organizing an RSI party... )

;)

Buckministerfullerenes are "bucky balls" 60-carbon compounds, shaped like a geodesic dome I believe.

so... how do you qualify for the ISEF? (freshman this year, want to get started on a project over the summer).

lol, lemme put in my title too!

Ooh, I've heard of bucky balls!!! I didn't know that was their real name. I'll have to come see your project, wizdiz! I'll have to come see everyone's project, actually...

i'm going to ISEF, but not RSI...

What's exciting in Indiana? I see the tours, but most of them sound pretty lame. Do you guys know what 'field trips' your group is taking?

w00t! I'll be going to ISEF! I can't wait to meet of you. How do we find out about the RSI party?

Congrats!!!! That is so awesome so many RSI people are going to be going to ISEF. It's great that we'll know each other before RSI so that we'll be tight before having to spend 6 weeks together...fun, fun, fun.
I guess we can keep each other posted about the ISEF party here. (or through something like a yahoo group (i can also give you guys my email address if anyone cares)).
I also heard that Matt, from MIT, will set up an RSI luncheon as well, pretty spiffy! Just typing this makes me so excited about ISEF and RSI!!! YEAHHHHH!!

RSI has ways of finding you... as I found out last year. Don't worry, we'll hunt you down and stalk you! ;)

lol Sorry I didn't reply sooner. My mentor actually is a Rice Graduate student and graduated from my high school so it was easy to get involved. It is kind of an interesting project because I it's only been tested on plants once and not in the way I did it. The results were interesing, but hard to explain.

btw, I've found that its better to have a professor who wants to work with you, but whose interest may not be exactly the same as yours, than one who has great research topics but doesn't really care about you.

bump :)

We can't let this thread die...i'd hate to miss anything RSI-related at ISEF :-P

so true, so true
RSI and ISEF= greatest things in life :D!

Okay, time to revive this thread. Two more days! :D

Btw, are you guys doing the tours? Indianapolis sounds kinda boring, hehe. ALSO, how much time do we get for set-up?

yeah!!!...not done with board...noo!!!!
