I guess this is directed toward those who have competed in local/regional fairs that lead up to ISEF, or ISEF competitors as well.

I have to fill out my ISEF forms for my local fair soon, and I noticed the need to include a research plan. Is this comparable to the "methods" section of a professional paper?

Additionally, how much do the judges actually look at these forms when judging...do they focus more on your research paper/notes/board and not the info in the forms/research plan? (hopefully forms are a formality and are not actively used to score projects...)

Thanks in advance for any responses.
