My son got into Isenberg business school and May 1st is approaching. But now my son is showing strong interest in computer science course i.e artificial intelligence related subjects. What chances he is having to complete both ? or is it possible for him to peruse this in Umass. Is any body having any similar experience in Umass ??

My daughter is a freshman this year at UMass in Isenberg, and has decided to minor in computer science (she is taking her second CS course now in the spring semester). I think a double major would be doable, but course requirements in each major might make for a very packed schedule, and there might be additional requirements that need to be met (e.g., honors college requirements). I would suggest contacting someone from the CS science and/or Isenberg to see if this is possible, but with careful planning, I don’t see why it wouldn’t be. Encourage your son to take the basic prerequisite CS course in the first semester of freshman year and to declare his double major early.
