ISFAA / PROFILE documents

Hey all =]

So, after getting such constructive answers on my last thread, I came back with more questions :))

In requesting financial aid (for international students) I found the required documents a bit vague..

1- Most recent federal income tax return(s), if completed
2- Previous year federal income tax return(s)
3- Records of money earned during your most recent tax year
4- Records of untaxed income and benefits for your most recent and previous tax year
5- Current bank statements
6- Current mortgage information
7- Records of bank accounts, savings, stocks, bonds, trusts, and other investments
8- Records of your household expenses

1+2+3- I'm almost positive that my parents don't have any tax returns, they are both salaried employees. They do have a pay slip, would I have to attach all of their last year pay slips?

5- What kind of information does the bank statement holds? Is it the current account?

6+7- How our household expenses should be verified? a credit-card records?

and last question, where to send the documents when filling the PROFILE? to the college itself?

Thank you so much, and again any piece of information would be appreciated =]

If you are using PROFILE, you won’t need to submit all of those documents. Bank statements and records of your household expenses will help you answer questions about your family’s savings and expenses, but (as far as I remember) neither of these documents needs to be submitted to a third party.

Do you pay income taxes? How are those assessed? In most countries, employees have to file tax returns at the end of the year so that their income taxes can be determined accurately. PROFILE is looking for a document that states your total taxable income for the year and your total income tax liability. If there exists no such thing in your country, PROFILE will allow you to submit another form of verification of your income. You should check the instructions to see how exactly that will work.

Probably directly to Collegeboard, which will scan your documents and make them available electronically to the PROFILE-colleges you are applying to. You will get instructions on the what/where/how to send after you submit the financial aid application.

b@r!um :))
Thank you so much!!
I can always count on you…
