I was really dissapointed yesterday with my rejection letter from Florida state university. english is my second languaje, and I dont even ask for fin. aid. I had a 3.2 gpa, but since my school doesnt rank and I was in the top 20% it looks horrible. and I really wanted to go to USA this fall. ............

Indiana U Bloomington, U Vermont, U New Hampshire, U of Arizona, Florida State, U of Oregon, U of South Carolina, Seton Hall, SUNY Buffalo, Washington St

I applied to U of Vermont--it's deadline was January 15th.

Don't worry, there are 1000's of colleges in the United States would be lucky to have you and in which your stats meet or even even exceed their requirements.

U of Maine, U of Connecticut, Rutgers, Penn State (apply to campuses other than University Park, the standards are much less stringent), UNC-Asheville, NC State U, U of Maryland--Baltimore County, U of Delaware, U of Georgia, and more.

By the way, are you looking for schools primarily on the East Coast, or no preference geographically? Do you prefer state schools over smaller liberal arts colleges?

Stonesoul - what was your TOEFL score? Is that a barrier in admissions?

Washington state University. I believe they still accept applications even though the date is past priority. My friend had a 960 and got in.

university of arizona

thanks for the suggestions, bloomington seem to be the right place. penn state and wash state have too small population for me.
my toefl was 260, and the minimum required for florida state was 213.

U of Georgia is not a good bet. It's getting really selective.
Bloomington rocks!

Indiana is a definitely a reach with 1070 SAT and the deadline is past (Feb 1). So is Oregon and Florida State.

You may want to try U of Arizon and Arizona State; both have good business programs and are still open to application (April 1 deadline?).

Washington State is a decent school. Not sure why you say that it is too small?

You might take a look at the University of San Francisco. They are on rolling admissions and take quite a few internationals. www.usfca.edu

Another public school still accepting applications with a growing international student population is the state university of New York's University of Buffalo.
http://www.buffalo.edu/admissions/

Penn State is huge! Are you sure you looked at the right school?

I suggest looking at some of the small private and public colleges that are in the middle of nowhere. Look for some with SATs in your range. They may be delighted to have an international student because you'd add to their diversity. Some also are still accepting applications.

university of TULSA~~

isn't the u of Tulsa religious? not so religious like oral roberts, but....
