ISP Stats?

What kind of stats does one need to get into ISP?

If NU accepts you and you have strong math/science grades/scores, it’s pretty much just up to you if you want to pursue it. Unlike MMSS, this program isn’t nearly as popular (both programs were launched at the same time in the late 70s; MMSS was intended as its counterpart in social sciences). It’s not as sexy as MMSS since many MMSS grads get jobs in fields like investment banking, consulting, or insurance. But another main reason is that it’s very intense (slightly more than engineering or MMSS) and people do drop out. But if you are bright and willing to work hard for it, you will be getting one of the very best science education out there. Their webpage used to report science fellowships/awards students won and the number was easily greater than those at schools like MIT on per capita basis. That’s how strong this program is.

Most students who are in ISP for the long term are absolutely brilliant. Many, many drop out in the beginning. I personally know a few who have. It’s extremely difficult.
