Did anyone else here apply? Or if you are already an ISP student, do you like it? A discussion of pros/cons/random trivia would be much appreciated, since I don't know much about it besides the basics.

from the view of a non-isp...the isp program has a lot of people drop. you're in extremely difficult classes and people seem to be constantly studying. you take classes that only other isp's will take (like math, you are in an isp class rather than a genearl class your friends may take). Chances are you're in accelereated classes as well (orgo?? killer.)

but thats just from an outsider

I was in ISP for the fall quarter of my freshman year. personally, i did a lot of research in high school and as an ISP student you can basically get whatever research internship you want because the program is so rigorous and well-respected in the university. that being said, it foucsed much more on math and physics and computers (i am much more of a bio/chem person) and i found it too difficult to continue. and yes, accelerated organic chemistry as a freshman was insane. i also didn't like the fact that all of my classes were with other isp students, isp even has their own freshman seminars now, so it gives you a very limited view of the school. however, if you can handle the course material and want a very intense science education, isp is right for you- its very rewarding if you can get through it, it just wasnt for me.
