Today I went to the principal's office and was given two days of in school suspension. I was given suspension for "misrepresentation of information to administration." The principal told me that no college would ever know that I got ISS, and that it would stay only in the school records. After doing some research, I found varying answers. So I decided to ask them here
1. Do Emory, GA Tech, and UGA look at high school suspensions (Tech and Emory use the Common App)?
2. Do suspensions play a major role in admissions process?
3. Do colleges care about ISS as opposed to the much more serious OSS?
This is my first and last offense. The principal said no college will ever know and it will not harm me in the long run. I have a 4.0 and I scored over 2000 on my SAT, will my chances for Tech and UGA be damaged? The principal emphasized that it would not go on my permanent record or transcript.
