I was I was wondering, is it still possible to get into Tufts, Cornell, Columbia, ~Harvard, though I doubt I'd get into Harvard whatsoever, if I were to have a B- for Geometry as a sophomore. By the way, I am currently a sophomore. If I were to get an A next year in Pre-Calc Honors and take AP Calc BC or AB and do well, and have a high SAT II in Math II and a high SAT score, would that B- be ignored? Do colleges see the B- as a B- or just another regular B? Do they look very closely at this part of the transcript, with all the grades I received throughout high school? I don't want to sound fussy, I'm just really worried because I didn't expect to get a B-. I'm trying to salvage my grade at this moment. Is your GPA more important than that part of the transcript with all the grades?

Your GPA is important in relation to your fellow students in your school. Your fill transcript is important in deciding if you took the most rigorous courses available to you. The best thing you can do is focus on learning the material and doing well. Almost all schools look at whether your scores are on an upward or downward trend.
