Heyo all. Last week I toured a handful of schools and they all advised me to repeat my 10th grade instead of applying to 11th grade. I took the August SAT thinking I was applying for the 11th grade and pulled a 1420 (740 R+W 680 M). However, since I’m repeating grade 10, I have to take the SSAT. I’ve been like skimming through practice tests and, to my surprise, not doing nearly as well as I would’ve expected after my relative success with the SAT. I haven’t done like Algebra 1 topics in forever and it feels like I keep making really stupid mistakes- I’m so used to the SAT that I can’t get used to the SSAT. How can I prepare so I can get a 2300+? I ordered a used book on Amazon which’ll be here like next week. I’m taking it in November. Have any of y’all transferred from the SAT to the SSAT? I feel like I’m going crazy.
