IT field curriculum

<p>would someone with experience in the IT field take a look at this curriculum and tell me in your opinion if it, is worth going through... job market..$$..etc</p>

<p>The curriculum looks good. In regards to coursework, there isn’t much variation from this and other MIS programs. You do have flexibility with electives which is good.</p>

<p>As for job market, I have no clue what it will be like when you graduate. </p>

<p>what sticks out to me is all the business courses, i thought a degree in IT would be more technology oriented vs business.</p>

<p>Those courses are pretty standard. They are required for all business majors. Some schools may offer a more technical MIS degree (ie a BS, rather than a BBA in IT). If interested in something more technical, I’d recommend looking into a Computer Science degree. However, in terms of working in IT, this degree plan looks very good.</p>

<p>BTW, keep in mind that in IT you normal are working hand in hand with your business customers (ie finance dept or marketing department, or an operational department, etc). It is best that you have the ability to speak their language.</p>
