It is possible to...

...do a different engineering in graduate school than you did for undergrad?

I'm currently doing biomedical engineering for undergrad but I really want to do chem/alternate energy/fuel (something along those lines) for my graduate degree...is that even possible or realistic? My school doesn't have a chem engineering program so I'm also minoring in chemistry and taking addition higher level chem courses.

Thanks for any input!

Yes it's possible but you will have to meet all the requirements for entering the graduate program.

Yeah, it certainly is possible. You can go into Bio E graduate program with an undergraduate in Mech/Chem/EE, and some schools even prefer it over BME undergrad.

You should take a look at the curriculum of ChemE/Materials programs at other schools and try to tailor your technical electives and such to get close to what they're doing if you want to get into those sorts of fields.

ok thanks a lot for the replies! im definitely going to do some extra thermo courses and ill take a look at some curriculums
