I know of at least two: October 2009 and November 2009.

I know of at least two: October 2009 and November 2009.

Well those are the only two. I forgot about the November one, but in the past two years (according to Erikthered’s chart) those are the only instances of -1 garnering a 770. The average is a 790.

Isn’t the curve supposed to be predetermined? I severely doubt that they would give almost three tests (excluding December) consecutively with -1 = 770.

I don’t know when it was, but I got -1 on math and got a 760. So yeah, don’t complain.

Georgetown, that has never occurred before in the history of the SAT.

gtown, on a psat?

Guys, I think we’re grasping at straws here. We all knew that the Math section was really easy compared to other SATs. Its going to be -1=770. I hate the thought of that too, but its the reality. If -2=770, that would mean -0 and -1 would be 800. It’s not going to happen on this test. -1 on this Math will yield 770.

EDIT: I do remember -1=760 on a test. I think November 2009, but I’m not 100% sure.

Just double checked on collegeboard website. November 2008 SAT… I missed one medium, geometry and measurement question. Zero omitted. Got a 760.

I remember the May 2009 math section being easy, yet I missed one and still got 800.

(Another fantasy) Maybe it’ll be 800/800/770? If only.

Georgetown: Wow.

Man… I hate this… this is freaking ridiculous. I’m sorry about calling a bunch of you guys liars, but I’m just grasping at straws here. I just can’t believe one stupid mistake could take off 30 points… it’s ridiculous.

I know how you feel alihaq717. I’m just hoping the CR curve is going to be 800/800/800/790/770 and not 800/800/800/780/760. If I get 760/770/800, I’m just going to be really pis*ed.

Haha, I would die for a 2330.

This isn’t even a good way to gauge math skills.

The PSAT had a much easier math section and -1 yielded a 79. I thought the math here was roughly as hard if not slightly harder than that and it results in a 770?? Agh… and my reading isn’t gonna be that great, man… I’m just gonna go to sleep. Worst comes to worst I’ll have to study like crazy and retake…

I wish I were normal. It seems we each have something the other wants lol. I have the 2300 and I’m not satisfied, but you don’t and would be if you had it.

I really wish the test were harder. Then I wouldn’t be wishing for a 2400. Now that I think I have a chance at it, I’m worried about careless errors and all that crap that I’m usually not worried about. Especially since the curve sounds hard. Grrrrr.

was harder u mean
and i agree

I think it’s “were.” You use the subjunctive after I wish ________, don’t you?

ex. I wish I were a singer. I wish he were able to type faster.

Nice catch there. Even I didn’t notice that at first.

hmmm yea u would use it in the subjunctive tense

however, a test is singular and it already happened

if the cat was just a bit faster, it would be able to catch the mouse

i could be wrong tho, cus my brain really isnt working today

No, it would be: If the were just a bit faster, it would be able to catch the mouse.

Ah, good point. Perhaps you are right then. But I’m still not sure. :P
