I’ll start:
Meet Huron, rescued Halloween 2020.
Favorite activity: going on car trips.
My love language: putting front paws on human legs so you can pet me! This means I like you!
Here’s my four legged baby. He’s 10 1/2 and sporting his first ever hair cut. We kept him in a full coat up until last month when it was clear he wasn’t tolerating being brushed anymore. He’s my little lovey!
(Sorry about the wrong orientation of the photo. Not sure how to fix that!).
Keeley and Bailey, longhaired dachshund sisters from the same litter, celebrate middle age. Adopted 1 1/2 years ago from an older couple no longer capable of caring for them. They are models of caring for and respecting each other despite having very different personalities.
Our long time dog died Memorial Day 2020. DD’19 spent a lot of time over the summer looking for a new one online. She found Sadie at the shelter in her college town a year ago today on her birthday. We got her Labor Day weekend.
This is Hawk. Long after he was gone I found a roll of undeveloped film (who remembers rolls of film?!!) - I took it in and this photo was on it…turns out my (then 11 year old) D had dressed him up for “a photo shoot” - he’s wearing her tie-died camp t-shirt, backpack and some sunglasses. To my eye he looks a bit mortified, but I also can’t help realize how patient he was with her. Miss him.
We’re getting this little guy, an Australian shepherd, on Monday. Haven’t named him yet, but my Facebook friends have given me a ton of suggestions. Our other dog is named Jazz, so we want a name that goes with that concept. Louie is my favorite so far, for Louis Armstrong.
This is our sweet dog, Foster, who passed away last month unexpectedly at the age of 9. Our daughter took this photo. She is taking photos at her friend’s wedding next year (she won’t be the main photographer but she’ll take as many as she can while being maid of honor). In return, the friend, who is already doing well as an artist, will do a painting of Foster.
