it seems to me that...

a lot of you don't really take a lot of interest in sports. i got my nomination letter on Dec. 8th and my congressman nominated me. even with a GPA of 3.3 and ACT of 25 they nominated me because of my leadership on my high school baseball team...

should i be getting a letter from the USNA itself soon? becuase the other letter was from the congressman.

Actually, there are quite a number of athletes on this board. My daughter for example has 8 varsity letters in 3 different sports . I know Navygirl has a pretty impressive sports resume as well. It's just a part of the whole picture. Good luck.

thanks for the good luck.

If the process this year is the same as last, USNA will send a letter confirming your nomination(s), and from whom.
CM

buliit0925 - Have you completed all the rest of the USNA requirements? Received your qualified letter (medical/academic/physical) from USNA? You need both pieces (qualification plus nomination) to be considered for appointment.

bulliiit: Shogun is correct. There are several excellent athletes among the candidates using this forum. In fact, a couple of them are being treated as recruited athletes.

Congratulations on your nomination letter. You are lucky to have a congressional member that gets the process going early. Our representative has scheduled interviews for January 15th so we have quite a wait.
