Gpa - 3.5 unweighted (lower due to brain surgery sophomore year, I will explain that)
ACT - 30
SAT - 720 verbal, 680 math, 700 writing, 2120 total

I am a white male from St. Louis, Missouri. I go to one of the top 25 private day schools in the country (don't want to sound snobby). 30% of kids go ivy, everybody goes to some sort of prestigious 4 year school. Classes are rigorous, colleges know this. I have taken 7 AP classes.

ECs
2 years of football (had to quit because of brain surgery), 2 years of swimming, 4 years of wrestling, 4 years of Track and Field. I am an involved member of Campus Republicans. I also do Church Youth Group (lots of community service). I have done 5 plays which include

The Curious Savage (played the role of Titus Savage) Freshman year, very big part
Othello (played the role of Montano) Sophomore year, medium part
The Inspector General (played the role of the Mayor) Junior Year, very big part
Urinetown (played the role of Caldwell B. Cladwell) Junior year, main villain
Hamlet (played the role of Hamlet) Senior year, the lead role
The Adding Machine (played the role of Mr. Zero), Senior year, the lead role

Schools I am applying to
Washington University in St. Louis Bears
Georgetown University Hoyas
Emory University Eagles
Kenyon College Lords and Ladies
Claremont McKenna College Stags
Macalster College Fighting Scots
Carleton College Knights
St. Olaf College Lions - getting recruited for wrestling
Knox College Prairie Fire - getting recruited for wrestling
Lawrence University Vikings - getting recruited for wresting

I have two great recs, the people went to Washu and Kenyon. Also my Mom works at Washu. I wrote really good essays, two of the topics were the trial of brain surgery and the story of when I lost 100 lbs.

Oh yeah I plan on majoring in Theater and Political Science.

Anybody want to chance me?

Please, anybody? It would be nice for some feedback.

haha i love it how you posted the school mascot

Washington University in St. Louis-reach (tough school granted, but GPA is not high enough)
Georgetown University-reach (tough school granted, but GPA is not high enough)
Emory University-reach (need higher GPA
Kenyon College-IN
Claremont McKenna College-low reach, you have the SAT, but lack the high GPA needed
Macalster College-never heard of
Carleton College- never heard of
St. Olaf College Lions - getting recruited for wrestling-no idea
Knox College Prairie Fire - getting recruited for wrestling-no idea
Lawrence University Vikings - getting recruited for wresting-high match, but wrestling might help admission

Also I have talked to most of the theater teachers at the schools. The ones at Knox and Washu saw me in Hamlet and I think they were very impressed. Would this help with admissions?

Bump, anybody else have opinions on whether or not I will get in?

What happened with the whole brain surgery experience, if you don't mind.

Also, 720+680+700=2100, unless this is just the results of one test date, in that case, ignore me.

Sorry I had a typo when posting my SAT score. My sophomore year I had several really bad concussions that lead to brain surgery. It is a long story, but I ended up missing around 4 months of school.

Washington University in St. Louis Bears: Mid Reach
Georgetown University Hoyas: Low-Mid Reach
Emory University Eagles: Low Reach
Kenyon College Lords and Ladies: Not sure
Claremont McKenna College Stags: Mid Reach?
Macalster College Fighting Scots: In
Carleton College Knights: Low-Mid Reach
St. Olaf College Lions - getting recruited for wrestling: In
Knox College Prairie Fire - getting recruited for wrestling: I don't know, in?
Lawrence University Vikings - getting recruited for wresting: In

Thanks to everybody who has chanced me already.

I'm going to have to bump this.

I wouldn't surprised if you got into WashU. I'd say you have over a 50/50 shot. Do you go to John Burroughs? Even if you don't, WashU would definitely know your school's reputation and would forgive your "low" GPA because of both this reason and the brain surgery. The GPA isn't even an issue in my opinion.

I don't have any experience with the other schools, so I wouldb't be able to give you any decent analysis.

Good Luck!

Thanks for the chancing.

Please anybody else?

Once again another bump
