it would mean a lot if you chanced me:)

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone could give advice for my chances at these schools. I am in the top ten percent, have a 4.08 out of 4 GPA, and a 1990 SAT score (just took SAT yesterday so scores may improve). I am president of 2 clubs, Haven from Hunger and the Spanish club, am co-editor of Yearbook, teacher of 8 kids at Sunday School, am on the leadership committee at my church, am a Serengetee representative, and a Cru representative. I also work part time at Chick-Fil-A and babysit as well. I have attended the MIT Samsung App academy and am in NHS and NSHS. I have won a global service award and a college award.

Thank you, it would help if you could evaluate my list below:

American University
Boston University
Boston College
Lehigh University
UMASS Amherst
Gettysburg College
Dickinson College
Georgetown University- reach
George Washington University
Bucknell University
Villanova University
Northeastern University

Planning to major in International Business/ minor in spanish or english

I believe the 4.08 is your weighted GPA. If you could post your unweighted GPA, that would be very helpful in determining your chances.

3.7 out of 4

You have a reasonable shot at most of these. Gtown is a very big reach for you. Northeastern is as well as it’s gotten very competitive the last few years. Most of the others are a bit reachy as well. There are no true safetys on your list. UMAss and American are the two least competitive schools on your list but I don’t think either are a safety for you.
