Italian in IUB

I was looking through the courses on the IUB website, and noticed that there aren't any Italian language courses (one's that are needed to become fluent in the language and to become an italian teacher). Please tell me this isn't true!!!

I don’t know where you looked, but IU has plenty of Italian courses.

[Welcome from the Chair](http://www.indiana.edu/~frithome/welcome.shtml)

A few years ago, Indiana University at Bloomington was ranked as the single top school for French language courses in the US.

As you can see, the Italian language department is connected to the French one, so I would think that you should have very good professors in these courses.

P.S. The US Military actually uses IU-B professors (and only IU-B professors and ones from the military academies) to teach all of its top military leaders going to Afghanistan the two major languages used in the region. IU-B was picked for this task because of its extremely high ranking in foreign language instruction.

My ds is in his second year of Italian, so I can verify that they offer it.
