..italian people?

guys... anybody from Italy?

Yes, I do... I come from Milan, and you? (Possiamo parlare in Italiano qui?)

I'm not. But I love Italian culture.

Ciao!

I just came back from an exchange program over there; it was so much fun!

ahh, I love italy, I love italians, I love italian culture.. I JUST LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT ITALY! haha, sorry about the obsession, but it's the truth.

But I konw I have to write in enligh.
Instead of you, I'd love and love very much study, live in America... I think it is a wonderful country! Actually I attend the third year pf a scientific high school... For enter in Harvard or Yale I need a wonderful curriculum... I have only beautiful grades (voti, cioè ho tutti 9, e la mia scuola ha il bollino europeo di miglior liceo scientifico), I study Piano, and I study drama in the theatre course of my school (capirai). I need some advice from you about the extracurricular activities I can do for admission at the following universities that I've choosen:
Harvard
Yale
Columbia
UCLA
Stanford
Princeton
MIT

I need to know the best books to prepare me for these tests and some advice (qualche consiglio) per essere quasi certamente (certainly?) ammesso (to be admitted) by the Ivy Universities I've writen. Bye bye

PS: fare parte del mensa è già un inizio?= Is to be in MENSA a beginning?

You might want to aim a little lower.

I'm not Italian , but I love Ferrari and Schumacher...even though Shumi is from Germany.

For example? Will it is impossible for me in your opinion?

Apply for Harvard and Yale, but you also need some safeties.

Here I am from Italy!!! What do you want to know? I am from Milan world capital of fashion!! I am applying to different universities but I have to say that for Italians be accepted to IVY league is impossible. Italian schools are not helpful at all. Infact we are not even close to be competitive with other foreigners. I read here writings which say (it sucks) next to a 700 SAT score. These are my SAT scores and I worked hard to have them:

WR 540
MT 630
CR 570

I attended AP courses in a private catolich school during my exchange program and I did fine even if I attended them just for the second semester.
I don't have the chance to go Harvard... Is it fair? I don't think so and to prove it I'll attend a medium University where my SATs will do fine and then I'll transfer to Harvard... We'll see...
I think that people who attend Harvard are special not just because they well know English but because they have the dream to study at the highest level...

I wanted to say it because lots of people have dreams in this forum and I see lots of other people trying to put dreamers down with some evil posts...

Maybe admission is more than numbers... who knows...

wow, ur sat scores are pretty good. and ur not a native english speaker!! i bet not even half of american students can achieve at that kind of level even though they've grown up their entire lives learning in english.

how loathsome!! u didn't mention ucla as one of the top schools!!!

so, is milan really the fashion capital? i thought it was new york city because it briefly was the art capital after like ww2 or something. italy lost its dominance in art long time ago. it's ever jealous rival, france, overtook the baroque art with their romantic, inpressionism, etc. but, i do have to credit italy for its continuing influence in music from the time the intsruments like piano, violon, cello came into being

i don't think many english-speaking people know italian very much. we tend to take french which is WAY similar to english and rather easy to be fluent in. and also spanish for american in south-west.
