what's the general atmosphere of Ithaca College? Are the students friendly? Do profs encourage class discussions or are they more lecture-oriented? How big are your classes? Do you like the dorms?

Anybody? I’d like to know too.

i’d like to know as well

is there an Ithaca College sub-forum? may be better to post there…count me on the “I’d like to know as well”…

I live near Itahca college and have many friends who attend. I have also been to numerous parties there. It is undoubtedly liberal and artsy without being over the top. Campus is quite pretty and most modern architecture. Lakes are gorgeous if thats your thing. Students have alwasy seemed friendly to me. Lots of reefer, but as in every college it is avoidable. Strong Strong Strong emphasis on the arts. Pretty amazng theater and music preformance majors. This is not to say that there are no preppy students, as there are many of those as well. Overall pretty diverse, just not in the ethinic sense. Not a ton of Blacks or international students. Town is quaint and very into the betterment of humanity. Lots of good places to eat. Lots of oppurtunities through cornell university as well, however cornell and ithaca are quite separate despite the fact that students do party together. IC is a good school with a liberal/preppy/friendly atmosphere. Any specific questions?

I don’t understand this website fully…what is a sub-forum?

catt, thank you so much, your post is helpful. You say the arts are popular. As a science major, do you think I’d feel left out?
