Ithaca College BFA question

Does anyone have a sense of how much weight Ithaca gives to the academic side of the application from a student who is auditioning for a BFA program?

Take a look at the general stats for Ithaca College. It’s not a super-selective school and standardized test scores are optional. As with many schools, the audition is the main thing. I think academics can help with financial aid, and Ithaca is a school that will give scholarship money (essentially it’s a discount on tuition) to students they really want, even if they don’t apply for financial aid.

I should add that my son is in MT and he takes hardly any classes outside his major.

Thanks. I know what their stats are for the college in general. I’m just wondering if like BU, those academic stats are pretty important, or if the audition is really what they are looking at.

I’m sure they look at the transcripts, but the audition is the most important factor by far.

Thx prodesse.
