Ithaca College Early Action 2023

Has anyone received any decisions yet? Wondering when they might start coming in.

Not us. Still waiting “patiently”.

Our son got his acceptance letter in early December last year.

For ED or EA?

My son applied Early Decision about mid-September. Decisions started rolling out the end of October. Happily he was accepted. My suggestion is to set up a profile on the my.Ithaca.edu site - create a profile, set up interests, comments about yourself - that is actually where we found out he was accepted. The official acceptance package showed up about a week later.

@AJRmom, he applied EA.

My D was accepted in early November. She applied EA in late September. She received the large envelope in the mail well before we thought she would hear, but apparently the acceptance had gone through a week earlier and was probably noted on her MyIthaca account.

I was accepted November 13! I applied October 15. I logged into myIthaca around November 20 and it told me "Congratulations! You were accepted into major on November 13. It seems like you are accepted, it is posted about a week later on myIthaca, and then the letter arrives a few days after–I got my letter on November 22.

My son applied EA (Film & TV) around early-mid November. When do you think we will hear?

mohagenka - First of all, CONGRATS!! Did you apply ED or EA? What department did you apply to?

@BobMahloonga : Thank you! I applied EA to the Park School of Communications.
If your son applied to Park as well around early-mid November then he should hear back by mid-to-late December, I would say. I heard back in almost exactly a month, and while response times will obviously vary a little, I think it’s safe to say mid-late December!! Best of luck to your son!!!

applied EA on november 27 for health sciences. when do you think i’ll hear?

@nikib215 - My son applied on approximately 11/24 to the Park School of Communications. Though the website says we will be notified by 2/1/2019, we are hopeful that we will hear by 12/21. I think it also depends which part of the school you are applying. Good Luck!

Does anyone know if they send an email to check the portal or do they just update the portal and you need to check obsessively?

Just got one this afternoon! Son accepted with 20K merit scholarship. 3.0 GPA /AP level classes

Congrats @bookbinder !

@bookbinder - Congrats! Did your son apply EA? What major did he apply to?

@bookbinder Congrats!! Was that EA or ED? Could you view it on the portal? Thanks!

Thank you! A package came in the mail! We did not log onto the portal.

Son applied to psychology but I think he will be exploratory should he attend. Also, sorry…yes he applied EA
