Has anyone from the Feb 18 audition heard yet?

My D auditioned in Jan at the Wash DC unifieds and has not heard a peep so as they say: No news is still good news...
Best of luck

chrism-
My d auditioned on the 18th. I was told yesterday that admissions did not have her acceptance/rejection notification yet. The said they send out letters each day. All letters will go out no later than April 15! So, maybe no news is good news.

mutsey --

what broadwaybound88 means (i think) is that she/he (?) was accepted academically to Ithaca College (either as an exploratory major or as he/she indicated as a second choice major), but wasn't accepted into the Theatre Department.

you can get into Ithaca College without getting into the program you audition for.

yeah I spoke to them privately and figured it out. I just thought I'd share some info about Ithaca!

I wouldn't say the leads in the musicals are just as frequently acting majors because that's not really true. The girl who played Sandy is actually an MT major. But otherwise, you were generally right. Several acting majors in my year have chosen to take on the dance minor (which itself isn't that demanding) because the dance classes have more than just MTs in them.

My daughter received her Ithaca acceptance yesterday! Her audition was
in L. A. on Feb. 18. She still can't believe it!!!

That's wonderful! Congratulations to her!

Did you mean LA on Feb. 12?

Yes--sorry about that. It was Feb. 12. We were at 11 auditions,
so dates get confused!

I just found some notes I made during the Ithaca College pre-audition speech. According to the notes, the final admissons decisions leave Ithaca College Dept of Admissions by mail no later than April 1. By March 15, all theater dept decisions should be in the hands of the admissions office. Of course, things might have changed, but that's what was said.

I just got off the phone with Ithaca and they told me my letter was mailed out on the 8th of MArch, but I haven't received it and I live in NYC right outside of NYC....and they wouldnt tell me the decision over the phone so now I have to wait some more!!!

My D's letter was post marked March 16, and she received it on the 18!
We are in California! I would call them back and have it sent again.
My D's acceptance from U of A never came because they put the wrong
address on it. She finally called, because lots of people she knew had already gotten their letters. They re-sent it, and sure enough, the address on the letter had been whited out and re-typed! Good Luck!!!

yea they said they would get a new one to me- and to call back in a week if its still not here...

should I call too and check if I havent recieved anything yet? I live in Ca as well...

Drum, I'm also in CA, and haven't heard. Maybe by Friday, if I still don't have anything, I'll call, but it seems like most people were hearing at the end of last week.

It seems like they're notifying people randomly . . . my friend, who auditioned at Ithaca in March found out that she got accepted into the Acting program today . . . I still haven't heard anything and I auditioned at the NY Unifieds on Feb. 4.

mboi- i auditioned Feb 4th in NYC also!! did you have an afternoon time? you should call and check to see if yours was mailed out yet.

I'll call tomorrow. Btw i did have an afternoon audition . . . I was one of the last people to audition that day, in fact.

Still no letter for me...

What about you, drum?
