Ithaca rejections/acceptances

haha no... this is TERRIBLE! I haven't heard from a single Musical Theater school I auditioned for (except CCM... which was like 2 months ago today I found out I didn't get in).

Well, no news is good news. We havent been REGECTED yet! woohoo go us! And besides, if Ithaca doesn't work out (which dear GOD I hope it does)... I applied to 7 schools that I still havent heard from yet. Maybe I'll beat the odds and get into like, Miami or Emerson (which is far from likely but hey it could happen).

Where else did u apply? I feel like we can hijack this thread considering I feel like were the last 2 CC-ers left who havent heard...

I auditioned at the December 3rd audition and . . . still nothing.
This is getting ridiculous.

Haha :/

drum and beastar- My D hasn't heard from Ithaca yet either. I will keep my fingers crossed for you to get good news tomorrow!

Count us in, D still hasn't heard form Ithaca or 5 others....waiting for the mailman is hard to do...especially because some days she shows up at 10:30 and other days the other one show up at 3:00 p.m.!

mtmumzie, I know what you mean! Like yesterday, it was really rainy, so when the mailman didn't show up at 12:30, I figured he was just running a little late. The mail didn't wind up coming until like 1:45, but I kept checking the mailbox every 10 minutes anyway!

And drum, besides Ithaca, I'm still waiting for Emerson, Hartt, and Otterbein. And if there's no luck for any of those, then I'll be doing theatre performance at OCU...

I hope the letters come tomorrow!

4:50 on the dot every day is when the mail comes. I live on most likely the last block in the entire continential united states to get their mail

I dont get out of school though until 4:50, so I get to see it first before anyone else whne I get home at 5:10

Wow you get out of school late!!! i get out at 2:05 and get the mail as soooooon as I walk in the door!

maybe we will all get into ithaca and be future classmates!!

that would be awesome! I'm sure I'll end up with a few people from this board come next year, no matter where I go

I get out school late becuase I go to a conservatory school, and we end the academic day at 2, and start the conservatory training right ever, for almost 3 hours.

My D auditioned on Feb. 7 in Chicago (Acting) and she hasn't heard either.

Hey guys..my d auditioned on Feb 18..still no news. When I checked last week they said that they send notices out everyday. They said it should not go out any later that April 15...ugh! That is late since all of the schools my d is looking at want a commitment by May 1!!!!!!!! She is waiting on Otterbein, BoCo and CMU also....:+

I auditioned February 18th and I haven't heard anything either.
The way I see it, no news is good news (well, it's not BAD news anyway) so I'm not going to worry about it until I physically have the letter in my hand :)

Letter came yesterday late mail (audition was Jan 14th in Washington, DC) simple envelope with a "no" ! oh well, on to those that did accept her...I am thankful D has a choice. Best of luck to all.

I wish there were some logical way to figure out this whole process!
Still waiting to hear from 8 schools. Sorry about the "no", but as you said
at least your D has a choice. Well, nothing left to do but hurry up and wait!

when are we suppose to hear from ithaca by?

sometime before April 15.

I talked to admissions today and they said my file was complete and to keep checking the mail. So maybe that means my decision letter is on the way? Who knows? hang in there!

Hey all! I am a new poster, and I just got my Ithaca acceptance letter today! I feel incredibly blessed and am so excited! I would really love to meet anyone else who is thinking about attending next year. Please PM me, and maybe we can exchange sn's or something! :) Hope to hear from you soon, and GOOD LUCK to those who haven't received letters yet. My fingers are crossed, and I totally know what you're going through!

MAS06 - great news! Were you accepted into MT or into acting?

Thank you! :) It was an MT acceptance. i am so excited. Good luck to your family! :)

any updates yet? I haven't heard STILL...

Same here... Maybe they sent out the acceptances first, now are waiting a couple weeks to see if the accepted people don't want to attend, and then send out the rest, putting some people from the waitlist onto the yes list, and rejecting the rest? Just a theory.
