Hello! I've been waitlisted for Fordham, which is my dream school. I want to go somewhere else for college for a year, before transferring to Fordham. Which of these schools should I choose? I am going as an undecided major for all of them. Ithaca is the school that I like the most but its very cold. I'm torn because I also like an urban setting better than a not so urban setting. But I wanna know what school I would be happiest at and what school I would get the best education at. I know you guys can't determine my happiness, but I just want to know what you guys think I would like best. Also Ithaca isn't close to home, which is a downside. But i need to know which school is the best overall and which school will give me a better chance at transferring into Fordham. (I plan to work my butt off academically.)

Where would you prefer to be if your transfer application proves unsuccessful?

Is there any difference between these in your cost after financial aid?

Honestly. If you just plan on transferring, go to Pace. I did the exact same thing at Pace and now I’m transferring. Classes are very transferable, not too difficult and they’re really good with financial aid/scholarships. Go there for a year. But only if you’re only going to be there for a year.

Wagner and Ithaca are in the same academic level. I would probably choose Ithaca because its more popular. Choose wagner if its cheaper than the other two.

An unrelated comment – if you want to transfer to Fordham, you should look at Fordham’s core curriculum (on school’s website) and try to take as many classes as possible that will help fufill Fordham’s core requirements. My S’s friend transferred to Fordham after one year and had to spend an extra semester at Fordham to finish the school’s rigorous core.

And I would pick a school you think you can be happy at in case the transfer doesn’t work out as you hope.

Thank you! I really appreciate that message! I will do just that!
