It's 11pm on March 9th, and what are you doing?

With any luck you'll be seeing a fair number of those jasmyn

Now that's the pot calling the kettle black

I DO NOT CARE

Tuesdays are officially the worst days ever. On M10 even if I get a thick "juicy" envelope I will not open it. I will not even look at it. I can wait like 12 hours... I might feel like killing myself every second of the wait, but it will be for my own good.

Soundly sleeping.

I'd be sitting on my bed, popping up all the application files in my head and trying to remember everything I wrote down/said (during the interview).
Fall asleep, then wake up at 6AM and run to my computer =)

Actually, there are many cases on here (read the acceptance/rejection threads) of a "small little envelope" being an acceptance, or waitlist.

In all likelihood, I will be cramming for the SAT, which I take on the 14th. However, I have a feeling my mind will be elsewhere!

i vowed that i'd wait until march 13th to open everything up. i told my mom not to check the mail when i was around, in case i could see the envelope size. i've heard that the online rejection letters can be rather harsh. so i decided i'd wait for the snail mail, and open everything at the same time. that way if i'm rejected or waitlisted to all, i'll just have one hit, not lots of hits.
however, i'm guessing that won't work. i'll probably open my email anyway.

does anyone know what type of package andover sends for rejections, acceptions and waitlisted ?

for acceptance i heard it's ups. for rejections and waitlists its probably regular mail. usually though, acceptances from andover come quicker than rejections and waitlists. if you look back to 3/10/08 you'll see lots of threads saying: anyone gotten andover acceptance yet?

thanks! i want to ask my friend, who attends there, but it sounds so desperate!

i'm sure they wouldn't mind. i mean, if it's your friend why wouldn't they want you to get accepted? [x

yeah, but i try not to talk about it with him. then i get the whole "oh its so great, you're going to get in for sure!" speech, and it freaks me out incase i dont get accepted i dont want to get my hopes up.

oh yeah, i know. my sibling goes to -insertschoolnamehere- and they keep encouraging me, saying that since i'm related to someone who's already attended, i'll get in for sure. but i am constantly worried that i won't get in. this is so stressful, i think i'll be near suicidal when it comes to college (just kidding)

I know for a fact acceptances are thick packages. My brother was accepted and it was either UPS of FedEx..I want to say it was FedEx...

What about for intl. students? I'm Canadian. I thought it was online, but I may be wrong.

I know it is online for Andover for international students. I hope they still send a thick package, though!

11 am, March 9 will be 5 am, March 10th for me. So for sure, I'll be sleeping then ;)

Oh gosh!! For me, UPS comes at 5-ish, and the mail comes at 2-ish, so... should I check the mail or wait desperately for the UPS first?

waiting for the ups/fedex may be disapointing, as if you don't get a package, you'll come on cc, and see many people who already have. for the mail, the letter comes a few days after if you got rejected. however, if you got accepted you'll be happy. it's win-lose.
