It's all about RESIDENCE

wow! thank you so much for posting this harpgirl, it was very helpful.

this is a really minor detail, but can we get cable in our rooms or is the tv in the common rooms not used too often? And does any one know if Leaf games are broadcasted in Montreal?

thanks harpgirl, that was awesome!

quick question: does anyone know which dorm has the most (or a good amount of a) party-ish atmosphere?

Also, is there a place where one can store things, like a bicycle or furniture?

to be honest i dont think new rez is the party dorm, though everyone would say it is- i live there and i don't find ppl to party that much.
i think upper residences are much more like real college dorms when it comes to partying- it seems that way to me.

I really don't know on the partying thing....like rideltrain said new rez has the reputation as the party dorm, but I've only been there a couple times. Upper rez they do plenty of partying.

well im doing a detailed research on New Rez since im seriously thinking about going there..
ive looked thru the survey and one of the questions are if ure a loud music listener and a party person and im not really one, so i assume they would put me on a floor with majority of non partiers..
so that shouldnt be aproblem
right?

if u choose new rez, how much money do they give you on your meal card? would you say that's the food's well-priced, over-priced, or very student-friendly-priced? How big of a difference is a single room and double room in terms of the size of the room? Which rez do you think is most worth the price? Like, is it worth it to pay extra $70 to go from Douglas double to Douglas single, or $60 to go from Douglas single to New double?

per month, that is.

are the upper rez single rooms also suites like douglas or actually single, single rooms?

I think they're single, single rooms. harpgirl said it was very much like a traditional dormitory, right?

made my deposit today!! hope i get new rez cross my fingers

i'm with you on the new res, chai

hehehe...we find out 2 weeks after june 15 right?

really? only 2 weeks?
and will they tell us abt the room mate early too?

Can you please let me know if it is possible to get cable/satellite/any channels in any of the dorms?

i read on the website that RVC organizes special activities, like trips to quebec city and such. is RVC the only res that does this, or do they all do?

are there any websites that have more pictures and more detailed information about the separate dorms? I know the McGill website has this tour thing, but obviously everything's going to sound great and all the pictures will look amazing.

so i will......

pictures anyone?

i can give u pics of douglas if anybody's interested. Just pm me your e-mail address.
