It's ALL about the $$$

So, congratulations to all the people accepted to schools from EA or ED, and for others (including myself), we got some time to wait.

But for those accepted...Money is always a factor for college and it would be cool to know how much the college gave you to attend. So-Could you tell us...

1) What school it was
2) If/How much money they gave you (scholarships) to attend
3) Some stats- to see how others can compare

Thanks!

1) What school it was - Connecticut College
2) If/How much money they gave you (scholarships) to attend - It’s about 55k to attend… they gave me 36k.
3) Some stats- to see how others can compare - :stuck_out_tongue:

Uh…You know, honestly, I don’t remember my stats! xD I only remember my ACT and AP scores, and Conn is Test optional!

Unless you mean Finaid Stats? Why would regular stats be important?

Oooh…Conn is a need based Finaid school only. No Merit aid!

The schools that did give me Merit were Knox [10k] and U of Hartford [16k] ACT: 29 and Knox gave me money for a writing scholarship + “just because” money. U Hartford because I had the 29 + Honors College and Presidential Scholarship. “Just because money” I believe.

Just talking about merit aid.

Good job for Conn College + others! You got quite a bit of money from them.

Ah! Okay, well then Conn’s package doesn’t really count, since like I said, they’re not merit. xD

Oh well, at least I listed the other two!

bump 10 char

doesn’t this depend on like income levels? so maybe (2) should be approximate income bracket…

1) Yale University
2) mid high
3) 34k ish
4) 2390 SAT (one sitting), 3.97 GPA UW… um… good recs/ECs?

Fuzzyfirebunny- No, they’re asking for merit aid.

1) Hendrix College
2) $22k/year
3) 35 ACT, 3.86 GPA, minor leadership positions/community service

OH.
jk.
well in that case, you can rule out all ivies- no merit aid there :/
