It's all going down

Anyone else out there getting ulcers because of this college application process. It has taken over my life, and I'm only a Junior (I'm applying this year because I hate my school)!!! I can't imagine what all you seniors must feel to know that the next 4 years of your life depends on one application (at least I have another chance to apply if I fail). College has even entered into my dreams. I had a dream about gettings accepted to Yale, and then rejected because they had made a mistake in the mail...it was horrible : (! I wish all of you guys great luck with whatever college you're applying to!!!!

"at least I have another chance to apply if I fail"

Hahahahahaha. You have plenty of chances, my friend. Just remember that not getting into your first choice college is not the end of the world.

What kinds of schools are you applying to, vanilea? I'm a junior too and I was thinking of applying to Cornell. I don't think I'd go next year, but what the hell. Hehe. My friend applied to his first choice his junior year, got in, then didn't have to worry about applying to colleges his senior year. He even got a scholarship.

Then again, it was BYU. :P

what what what - hold on. step back.

you can apply to colleges junior year even if you intend on finishing high school and then going?

I'm applying to schools that are reach schools, as in very reach schools, as far as the stars...lol. It's harvard, princeton, and yale for me. The only thing that I have going for me is that I was an Intel ISEF finalist, and have a strong background in research, as well as other strong EC's. My Act and SAT scores are only average, within their range, but not great. Hopefully I can get in to escape highschool. Good luck applying

You can apply if you have enough credits. It's a little known fact, but its doable. I meet someone (who I won't even try to compare with myself cuz she's a genius) that got into MIT (early) and princeton (regular) as a junior. She went to princeton her senior year.

vanilea: I feel what you are going through. Though I have absolutely no idea where I really want to go, junior year has taken over my life. All we can do is work hard for now and hope for the best.
