<p>They’re making Unit QUADS now?! Did I read that correctly? God what the hell! I hope for everyone’s sake that the Quads are in the minisuites and not the regular high rises. I cannot even imagine.</p>

<p>If the quads are in the highrises, stay at Foothill or wherever you’re at originally, a quad in the high rise would be unbelievable. This reminds me of a friend’s story when she started at Florida State University… She signed up for housing late and ended up in a converted common room with, I believe, 15 other girls as temporary housing until more rooms opened up. Yikes!</p>

<p>Yes, lol, you read it correctly that it’s a quad xD the email explains:</p>

<p>" A Unit Quad is a study room converted to house 4 students of the same gender, who will then be moved to regular spaces in the residence halls as they open up after move-in weekend."</p>

<p>Ohh, a ‘study room.’ Sounds like they took some of the lounges from either the high rises or the mini suites and turned them into temporary housing? That’s at least gonna be reasonably sized for four people, but still kinda awkward because it was a space that wasn’t meant for actually housing people. The Units are a fun set of dorms and are pretty social but I’d rather live in Foothill than some makeshift dorm room in the Units.</p>

<p>I’m surprised at the amount of people they have living in the dorms this year. Last year supposedly they were really under-enrolled. Whenever people left they had a hard time replacing them.</p>

<p>Someone posted on the UC Berkeley Class of 2015 Facebook page that they called Housing and were told roommate info would be released within a couple of days. This is taking forever…</p>

<p>I’m a sophomore living in Unit 1. </p>

<p>I received an e-mail telling me to go to the Berkeley housing portal to check my roommate info, and that I have to click on tab saying “Confirmed Roommates.”</p>

<p>I can’t find such a link. This is ■■■■■■■■.</p>

<p>I just received the same email 1 minute ago saying to log onto the portal to find my confirmed roommates.</p>

<p>Berkeley housing messed this up big time. And their office closed.</p>

<p>When I tried logging into the housing application, it said the server was having an increased load and wouldn’t let me log in. Eventually I got in, but the “Confirmed Roommates” link wasn’t in the list of steps.</p>

<p>No, but I have the Housing Portal open and keep refreshing every once in a while, even though I know a kazillion kids are probably doing the same thing xD</p>

<p>I bet they just haven’t finished roommate assignments yet. But, because they told us they were coming out this week, they just some stupid email to some people that doesn’t even work.</p>

<p>Haha, sucks for housing. They probably tried to release them last minute on a Friday so they’d wait until Monday for calls from people crying around or whatever about assignments, and hope people would just get over their problems during the weekend. I know a lot of admissions offices at schools do this on their decision days, haha. But now those problems will be fresh for them on Monday when they realize they didn’t actually upload roomie/building assignments. Failll.</p>

<p>But seriously, sucks for you guys that they messed up. :frowning: I was so anxious to learn who my roomies were gonna be last August. I’m sure you guys will get 'em soon. And then you have a whole year to live with them!</p>
