Its always the same problem!!

Hey guys,

Let me make this really short. My SATs are good with 2100-2150... My Volunteering is around 400 Hours right now. I have two President/leadership positions and a secretary of another club. Member of some others. Essay should be 8/10 good.. Recs should be 9/10 good... Again, GPA is a problem... By the way, i am applying to top privates like U of Chicago, JHU, Rice U etc. Now for my GPA: Freshman and Sophomore:3.64 at hard IB courseload. However, i could have done better as i kind of slacked a bit . Junior year i woke up, and got a better 3.82 UW... Now like i said, i am in IB and courseload is difficult and adcoms know that. But how much will they be willing to look past my not so great first and second year. Will it affect me a lot or very little? Thanks a lot.. i am fine getting into any of my choices as i am applying to most reaches/ matches. So what do you think. Am i in good shape or should i worry?

bump!!!!!!!

brother please. if your completely reliant on grades to get be the center piece of your app your in trouble. With a 3.7 your well in the range of acceptable for those schools now you just have to show spizaz in the rest of your app.

i'm in a similar position as u :/
ehh...you'll b fine :)
