It's August and Harvard is giving verbal commitments.

<p>Last year our high school had a cross country athlete (nationally ranked) who was also an Intel science fair grand prize winner (and top 10 in the Westinghouse/Siemens) who got an early fall commitment from Harvard. Hard to see how she wouldn't have been a no brainer admit any way you cut it.</p>
