It's Christmas! Chance Me Please?!

Thank you to whoever chances me. I'll chance back! Here goes:

Cumulative Unweighted GPA: 87.1 on a 100 scale (through junior year)
*My school does not weight grades or rank students
*Since sophomore year there's been an upward trend in grades: 89 GPA fresh year, 85 GPA soph year, 87 GPA junior year, 92 GPA so far this year (almost done with first semester)

Course Rigor: All honors classes and two AP classes
*I attend a selective magnet school in NJ
*Most students are not allowed to take any APs until junior year. All non-AP classes are taught at the honors (accelerated) level
*Senior Year course load: AP Bio, AP Gov't, (college level) anatomy & physiology II, honors calculus, honors English IV, honors psychology, fitness/health IV, and a (college level) EMT class

Extra Curricular Activities:
-Student Movement Against Cancer helps raise money and organize my school's annual relay for life event
-Yearbook Club (Senior Editor/Advertising Manager, 2 years)

*My English teacher says I have a great common app essay. I think the supplements are pretty good too. I have good recommendations as well.

*Hook- URM (black/African-American)

Chance me for:
- Boston University
- George Washington University

Oh Sorry guys I forgot to mention my test scores!

ACT: 27 composite (29 English, 26 Math, 27 Reading, 27 Science; 9 Essay; 28 combined English/Writing sub score)

your scores are a little on the low side for both but with good essays I would say high match/ low reach

GPA and scores are good for BU, though not ideal for GT. However, as a URM at a selective school, there isn’t quite so much cause for concern. ECs are solid, as is your courseload.

BU- Match
GT- Mid-Reach

Edit: Had misread as Georgetown.

GW- Low-Reach/High-Match

match for both
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1595598-santa-clara-early-action-worried.html</a></p>

Anyone else??

Match for both; URM should help a lot but it might be beneficial to retake the ACT? Idk, I think you should be solid

Match for BU, low reach for GW. Please chance me back http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1594388-will-transfer-better-school-help-me-get-into-my-top-schools-ea.html</a></p>

Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk

They are both in the match area.

I think you’ll get into BU. Write strong essays. They sometimes make the biggest difference.
I don’t know much about GWU.
Best of luck!

I think you have a good shot at BU!
GW may be a bit more of a reach only because of your scores, but everything else looks good so you may be ok!

Merry Christmas, hope you didn’t let applications stress you out today  thanks for commenting on my post!

Boston is a match for you. Because the first thing they look at is your transcript and course selection .
You’re ECs are strikingly .
And for the TEST SCORES AS LONG AS YOU ARE IN THEIR SCORE RANGE … YOU NEED NOT TO WORRY much.
