I would like to encourage everyone to post their final decisions. We found it so very helpful to look back at past years to see where people ended up. Some of these folks gave very useful info regarding specific schools, in answer to our PM's. You will help so many going forward if you post your decisions, so pay it forward! Thank you again to all the students and parents who contribute here!

Was yesterday the “official” day to commit because of the 1st being a Saturday? I know of kids who are still deciding…!

Sorry not to continue the pattern as contraltomother, but thanks to sopranomom92 for beating me to the punch. I was going to post just such a request later today.

A few statistics:

We have had reports from 145 different users regarding 517 acceptances at a total of 175 different schools. They have totaled well over $1 Million in scholarship offers. We have heard from 71 students or their parents concerning final decisions, which is just a little under half. Where are the rest of you going to be this fall?

I have an extension from my two leading chocies. I have filed an appeal that held things up, so my decision will be posted in a week or so.

I’ll be heading to SUNY Purchase!

Transfer process was complicated but result was EXCELLENT.
Son will go to Boston University School of Music, BM Cello Performance

Also accepted at
Longy
University of Illinois School of Music

D had gotten extensions until Monday. Also, some schools are accepting faxes.

D made her decision today! It’s CIM, vocal performance!!
Thanks to all the CCers who helped us get here!! Time for a drink!

Musicman, please get back to us when you make your decision.

Ryan, thanks. Your decision had already been noted.

mom4, we did not even have your son’s acceptances let alone his decision. I will add them to both lists momentarily.

MusicMuse, thanks, I will add your daughter’s decision to the list.

I’ve decided never to go through this nightmare again…at least until grad school application time rolls around!

stradmom, nope. They’re on their own at that point. By that time, they will know far more than we do. (But then, if I hadn’t been doing a bit of research as requested for son’s preliminary grad look see, I never would have wandered in here.)

And sopranomom92, thanks for posting this. Rest assured will give a periodic bump as a reminder.

Good job, all!

Frost U of Miami! So excited!

You’ve got it, MusicMuse784!! Congrats to your D!

Sorry for the delay. S chose MSM for vocal performance. Mom and Dad still wishing he chose Oberlin, but, can understand his choice and praying it is the right one for him…

Bringing this back to page one for those who have yet to report a final choice.

My daughter is going to NYU, and is pretty well ecstatic about it. We’re all happy other than the distance involved . . . and the cost. :-(

Returning thread to page one.
