<p>NYTimes has confirmed that Cornell has seen a huge 16.47% increase in ED applications this cycle, so anyone who has gotten in should feel quite proud. No word on how many were accepted though. If you look around at the chart, there seems to be quite a variation in percent changes.</p>
<p>I echo the above sentiments - congrats to those admitted ED in what was surely a very competitive admissions pool.</p>
<p>Wow, that must’ve made the ED rates plummet and it’ll affect RD applicants as well.</p>
<p>you have to remember that the internet is making this all possible and that it does not mean that the applicant pool is really any stronger</p>
<p>^it doesn’t necessarily mean yes but more cornell “ED” applicants correlates with higher number of good students, so I think there’s a high probability this pool was more competitive.</p>
<p>With about 600 more ED applications this year, Cornell’s ED admit rate fell to 29%.</p>
