It's Official!

Tufts class of 2012!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ahh im soooo excited! i started crying when i read that i got in!

I'm with you! After what felt like years of waiting (im talking about just this week. hah) the acceptance letter CAME!! Can't wait to come to BOSTON!! Jumbo Class of 2012!!

Congratulations! Post stats to help others. Thanks for sharing and welcome to the Jumbo community!

I got rejected. Congrats to those who got in.

I got deferred. I'm sorta sad but I gotta keep on keeping on until April. But anyways, congratulations! I hope I will be joining you soon!

My best friend's little sister got rejected. Very sad day at their house. I'm sad too because I think Tufts missed out on a great student -- I gave her a personal tour of Tufts and saw how much she loved everything I was soon to leave behind (I graduated in May) and seeing her enthusiasm prompted me to write a supplemental recommendation for her early application... but everyone has to move on, I suppose.

One great girl I know didn't get accepted, but a really cool guy from high school got in! FINALLY! I was the only one here from my HS, I'm really excited for him...

Yeah, it would really help me if people could post their stats, please. =)

Many people have been posting requests for the stats of accepted students. Mine are as follows...

SAT (Best Combined = 2010)
CR: 630
M: 690
W: 690
ACT (Best Composite = 32)
E: 34
M: 30
R: 30
S: 32
GPA = 93 (out of 100)
Extracurriculars:
- Eagle Scout
- Student Council Treasurer
- Varsity Soccer
- Many Community Service Projects

This is just an outline of my stats and accomplishments, but one must remember that test scores, extracurriculars, and GPAs are only a small part of the admission process.
Demonstrated interest is EXTREMLY important. I completed the optional essay on the supplement, visited the school, had an Alumni Interview, visited with the Tufts admissions officer when he came to my school, and all the while demonstrated my love for every aspect of the Tufts community.

If Tufts really is the place you want to attend in the fall, as long a your "statistics" are acceptable and competitive, the admissions officers will see your genuine love for the school through your essays. DONT PROCRASTINATE the ESSAYS!! Crafting the greatest essays is the best way for Tufts to hear your voice. MAKE THE ESSAYS STRONG!

If anyone has any more questions... keep posting them!!

Tufts is a great place and I would love to help anyone get in!!
