what are your strategies for coping with the wait?

not thinking about it

drinking

(10 char)

mmMMMmmmm beer.....

quoth the raven...ive heard of admissions officers lurking this forum. i would not be surprised if you were denied acceptance to any school after that remark.

Wow. if a school doesn't accept me for the choices I make outside of school, then seriously, f them. Schools are supposed to be institutions where diversity is encouraged and not discouraged. Drinking beer while over the age of 21 is perfectly legal in my book. Is the truly diverse, the one that accepts people's faults or is the truly diverse the one that sets restrictions on what is acceptable or not, essentially, segregating people based on certain statistical evidence. But I never said drinking is fault, it is just a fault in the eyes of those that judge. Who's right is it to judge someone? Not mines, not yours, and certainly not the adcons, it is god's job. You call it what you want, but I certainly don't want to be around people that form social boundries from statistics.

Hey HeavyMetalG0d, if that's the case I guess we're both in trouble:

no i have a medical condition where i have to drink beer to relax....i have a doctors note.

"Drinking beer while over the age of 21 is perfectly legal in my book."

It is perfectly legal period. :)

Hahahha...doctor's note...

"I was referring to the "chillax" part."

im from the oc....need i say more *****

Don't blame that on the OC..that is all you, my friend. ;)

ok youre right i need to stop watching doggie fizzle televizzle

Is anyone else from central Jersey? For some reason, "the wait is killing me" from this thread's title reminds me of the Rep's Fitness Supply commercials where the dude is all, "The suspense is killing me!"

I...don't know.

whats the point of starting a thread that breeds nervousness and bs?

oh yeah, thats right, there is no point....

i mean, did you start this thread so you could find people to join in on being impatient and anxious with you? (rhetorical)

Haha, May will come very fast.

Actually, it may not affect his college decisions but it may affect his employment opportunities. My employer said that they hire companies to do background checks that involve peering into your "Myspace", "Xanga", and forum posts, etc.

Depends on the company I guess. Personally I don't think anything is wrong with moderate drinking, provided you're of legal age.

Heavymetal, do you really believe that he was being serious in the first place? I really don't think an Adcom would come on here and be like "My gosh, this student plans to drink consecutively for 5 months!"
