Is transfering from a community college to a UC really as easy as every 1 says it is. I mean people are telling me they can transfer to UCD with a 2.5!!!!!!!!!

UCD sucks, so yes, depending on your major obviously.

I guess the attempt is all one needs nowadays.

Yes its that easy. I bet you wonder why ppl in high school would go to a CSU just because they thought it was too degrading to go to community college. Now you can laugh at them cause you made it to a UC and they didn’t.

Since when does UCD ‘suck?’ What an horrible assumption.

But yes, it’s actually easier to get into UCD than many other UCs. You can get in with a 2.5 just like some people (those exceptions…) get into UCLA with a 3.0. I would suggest you don’t settle for bare minimum and get into, say, Berkeley or LA?! Unless Davis is your dream school or goal or whatever.

Got a 3.9 and was rejected from Berkeley, but thankfully LA took me. It’s never a sure thing. I suspect I was rejected because i’ve never volunteered, or been a part of any community group.

Sorry I couldn’t help but laugh at “an horrible assumption”. Good england…

I would also argue that there is not a single case of a student getting into UCLA with a 3.0 unless on some form of athletic scholarship. UCLA and Berkeley are on the same level, I know a bunch of people accepted to Cal but declined by UCLA.

Yeah, you can be pretty mediocre and backdoor into the UCs. I think they should make aptitude testing (some SAT equivalent) a requirement for transfer student application, but I’m in the minority on that one.

yes it is, until you apply for grad school and they laugh at your gpa haha

^Could you please explain?

Uh, is this a joke thread? I imagine you get into UCD with a 2.5 only if you’re a Women Studies major or something useless like that.

i have a friend who got into ucla with a 3.0, i had a 3.5 and got declined, but was later accepted on appeal. So yes it is possible to get into ucla with a 3.0.

Circumstances, story?

No, I would say it’s not that easy anymore. The stats are getting higher as more people seek to save money by attending ccs before jumping into 4-years.

BUT “It’s really that easy???” to get a high GPA and then transfer. Really, really, really easy. Easier than the drunk girl at a USC party.

grad schools look at your college transcripts and if they see you dicked around while at a cc it cant be good. am i right?

i got into UCLA with a 3.06 what upppp

whats your major lazy?!

He majors in mediocrity.

^ Just loved it. Classy.

If someone gets a 2.5 at a CC I can only imagine grad school probably isn’t in their immediate future.
