It's Snowing at Rice!

My S called me this morning at about 9 AM CST to tell me it was snowing outside his window. It's not sticking but the Houston Chronicle says that some areas are expecting 1 to 2 inches and icy roads.

BTW, he's a Florida boy so even snow that doesn't stick is a real event!

It should stick enough for some minor snowball fights.
Wow, it was so hot and muggy when we visited at the end of September!

It’s definitely sticking on the grass, trees and roofs now!

Noooo!!! I hate snow.

Party Pooper! I live in Colorado, so I definitely get tired of it, but in Houston it’s an exciting novelty.

@noaveragegenius: Relax. It will be back to the 70s next week.

Wow! It hasn’t even snowed in Illinois yet (except for a few tiny flakes yesterday)

I’m a native Ohioan, and I always hated snow (except when it meant getting school off). However, it was SO COOL that it snowed in Houston… everyone was so excited and it was so cool to see snow and feel the cold weather that reminded me of back home.

When I heard it was snowing in Houston, the first thing I thought was that it was snowing at Rice and I wish I could see it! I’m sure it’s gorgeous!

Where I am, we just got a few flurries. It didn’t stick. Still, two years in a row’s good for here! I’ll take it!

well here in montana, winter really sticks to you and i hate it :frowning:
but yea i know the feeling of not having snow for awhile with Christmas just around the corner

You call that snow? That looks like a nice day in May. :)

^^^ What I was thinking, MilwDad! But I grew up in Austin, so I remember what it was like to get excited over half an inch of snow. I used to like to take pictures of cacti covered with snow.
