I know Cornell doesn't give merit aid, but is there any help at all after freshman year if you get really good grades? Is everyone at Cornell either rich enough to pay full price, or poor enough to get a lot of financial aid? How do average people afford to go to Cornell ???????

Take out loans like the rest of us.

Nothing wrong with loans, but I don't think anyone will lend me $120,000 which is what I would need to borrow.

From your past posts, it appears your EFC is $70,000. I don't think that's "average."

norcal, yes that was an estimate, but when we filled out the complete forms it ended up at $50k. Parents are only willing to pay $15k a year for me, I have a sister starting school next year. You know how those EFC's work, most people can't really afford what their EFC says they can for various reasons. I am trying to find any way possible to attend Cornell, beyond $120,000 in loans (if I could even get that!)

There are many scholarship opportunities out in the world if u look. If u r smart enough for Cornell I'm sure u r smart enough for some of them. I'd also check w/ ur employer for scholarship opportunities. GL!
