It's that Math section...

Hey everyone. I'm re-taking the ACT in April (wish me luck, haha). I already have the Official ACT Prep Book, but I am wondering, does anyone know of another book with a really good Math section learning section (preferably science as well)?

The Reading and English sections are no problem, but I always score lowest in the Math section. And the kicker is that the thing I want to major in (Computer Science) is very math-heavy.

Thanks for any help.

(In case anyone cares or thinks it would help in their recommendation, I scored 31 in the Math section and around 33/34 in the others...)

Oh clam up. It's not like you're getting a 15 on your math section. Learn some damn algebra and a bit of trig, and you'll be fine. Stop complaining about nothing.

"WAHHHHHHHHH!! I ONLY GOT A 35 ON MY MATH SECTION!!!!!!!! WAHHH!!! I GOT A 36 ON EVERYTHING ELSE THOUGH! ! HELP ME, I FEEL SO DUMB!!! I DON'T WANT TO GO TO COMMUNITY COLLEGE WHICH IS WHERE I'M HEADED IF I CAN'T GET A 36 IN EVERY SECTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Oi, it's nothing like that. I'm only asking if someone knows a guide for the content typically covered on the ACT Math section. Don't take something further and become insulted when there's nothing insulting there.

somebody is bitter...

Anyway, i suggest you buy the baron's SAT book and look at the math section. They have exercises specifically aimed at all the possible subjects in math. =]

Thank you very much littlehamsterz. I'm gonna study that book through and through.

oh by the way. the princeton review ACT book can be helpful for quick and easy concept review. I would use the baron's for actual problems though.

since the baron's is tailored for SAT make sure you skip over whatever concepts will not be on the ACT. =] ACT math is easier in my view.

I see. Hmm, is the Barron's ACT book math section not good?

I am a teacher and have a friend who tutors at one of the National Franchise test prep centers.

She told me to save my money and have my daughter use the Baron's book for the ACT. She said that is pretty much what their entire program is based on.

We bought the book and she is testing this Saturday. I hope it helps. She is very bright, but just can't score well on this test.
