Accepted!
And to everyone who didn’t make it, you guys will find a place in a college every bit as good.
Good luck to you all

ACCEPTED! Congrats/condolences to all!

@stepay where did you find this form? I didn’t see it anywhere, and I didn’t get an email containing it for my EDI stuff. I emailed the finaid department to see if they would still accept the forms (which I assumed was my FASFA for 2013 tax season) but ehh… they should correct that in the email. Hopefully they’ll accept it!

Rejected.

Okay, I’m confused. I didn’t have to send in the FAFSA for financial aid estimate -http://admissions.vassar.edu/financial-aid/apply.html (document at the bottom of the page, for ED/US citizen). Do you guys have different requirements or is the checklist wrong?

@LAMuniv the FAFSA isn’t required until April as far as I know – I didn’t send it either.

SOO who’s going to start the obligatory results/stats thread? :)

not it :)

@LaMuniv Somewhere, I believe it may have been on that ED form my parents had to sign, was direction to fill out the CSS Financial Profile on College Board. I wouldn’t worry, you’re in, so they’ll tell what they need when they need it.
@nervoustudent Must have been your video! Congrats!
@kushin “And to everyone who didn’t make it, you guys will find a place in a college every bit as good.” Yea, I will. It’s still Vassar. I haven’t been knocked down, just set back!

I was mistaken–you do have to fill out the CSS profile and send in copies of the 2013 tax returns. I didn’t do that… am I alone here? I don’t think they did a good job getting that info out… considering that it isn’t on the applying website, but it is on the fin aid website at the very, very bottom hidden in a link (which I didn’t see until now). I’m just super, super concerned that I won’t get any financial aid now because I didn’t see that I had to turn in the CSS form… kind of anxious now.

Congratulations to all those accepted and do celebrate! My daughter is a freshman at Vassar and ABSOLUTELY loves it. Her fellow floor mates, choral groups, classes and professors have been fantastic(her professor hosted a chili dinner at his house for the class last week). I attended the annual Christmas Choral concert which was an emotionally moving experience. The download should be available soon.

For those considering music you will not be disappointed(you’ll definitely be challenged). It seems that nearly everyone she knows is involved in some form of music or performance. The webcasts do not do justice to the level of performance these groups reach

With regards to the FAFSA. Take a breather, celebrate and savor the next few days and four years

Daughter accepted! My heart goes out to those who were not accepted. If you loved Vassar half as much as my daughter does, I imagine you must be heartbroken. However, everything happens for a reason and I’m sure if you were confident enough to give Vassar a shot, you’ll have many excellent options. GOOD LUCK!

@Burche - I found that info on the financial aid portion of Vassar’s website. It’s under Financial Aid and then Apply for Aid.

Our daughter was accepted! She’s on a cloud. I’m sorry to those that didn’t get good news today.
